Users management

Invite teammates, map users from your tools, and manage their access.

Updated yesterday

The Users page in Administration is where you invite teammates, map them to identities from your connected tools, and manage their access to Leanmote.

Invite a user

  1. Open Administration → Users.

  2. Click Invite.

  3. Enter the email address and select a role.

  4. Click Send invite. The invitee receives an email; once they accept, they appear in the user list.

User identity mapping

Engineers usually exist in multiple tools — GitHub, Jira, Slack — under different usernames. Leanmote maps these identities back to a single Leanmote teammate so metrics aggregate correctly.

  • Auto-mapping happens during initial sync using email matching where possible.

  • Manual mapping is needed when a user's email differs across tools, or when their tool username doesn't expose an email.

  • Open a user's row to see their mapped identities and add or remove them.

Bulk operations

  • Use the search bar to filter the user list by name, email, or role.

  • Multi-select rows for bulk role changes or removal.

Removing a user

Removing a user from Leanmote revokes their access immediately but preserves historical metric attribution. Their past contributions still appear in dashboards filtered to the period when they were active.

Common issues

  • Duplicate users — usually caused by tool-side renames. Merge by mapping the duplicate's identities into the canonical user, then remove the duplicate.

  • Bot or system accounts — exclude them from teams to keep activity metrics clean.
