What the Statuses tab is
Each row is a workflow status found on a board you're already measuring. Leanmote classifies it automatically from its name, and you correct what it got wrong.
This is the tab that most directly moves your numbers. The classification is what decides whether time in a status counts as active work, as waiting, or as finished — so a status in the wrong bucket doesn't just look untidy, it skews Cycle Time and Waiting Time for every item that passes through it.
Columns
Status name — as it comes from the provider.
Board — which board it belongs to.
Tool — Jira or Azure Boards.
Item type — the work item types this status applies to.
Classification — the bucket it counts under. Editable in the cell.
Status — Measuring, Paused or Switched off.
The six classifications
Backlog — not started. Time here is not cycle time.
Active — someone is working on it. This is what active time is made of.
Waiting — blocked or queued, waiting on someone else. Counts as waiting time, not active time.
Done — finished. Reaching a Done status is what closes an item's cycle time.
Cancelled — closed without being delivered. It ends the item like Done does, but it never counts as delivery, so it stays out of throughput.
Unclassified — Leanmote couldn't tell from the name. Left here, the status counts towards nothing.
Actions
Change the classification
Pick the right bucket in the cell — there's no dialog. It saves on the spot and tells you so. Do this when the automatic guess is wrong, which happens most with names that don't say what they mean: "In analysis", "Ready", "Parked".
Do not measure
Keeps the status out of metrics entirely. Useful for columns that represent neither active nor completed work — "Archived", "On hold", "Blocked by client" — where even counting them as waiting would distort the picture.
In bulk
Tick the rows, or Select all N in this tab, then apply the action to all of them, with an Undo right after.
