Discoveries — overview

What Discoveries is, who can access it, the 5 tabs, filters, the Discover button, and column sorting.

What is Discoveries?

Discoveries is where Leanmote shows you every entity it automatically detected across your integrations (repos, boards, workflow statuses, external people, communication channels) so you can decide what to do with each one: accept it, map it to an internal user, or ignore it.

Think of it as your configuration inbox: anything new that shows up in GitHub / GitLab / Jira / Slack / Calendar and that Leanmote doesn't yet know how to interpret lands here, waiting for your decision.

Who can access it?

Only users with the Admin or Owner role. If your role isn't one of those, you won't see the link in the sidebar (and visiting the URL directly returns a 403).

How do I get there?

Left sidebar → Discoveries.

The red number next to the title in the menu is the total count of pending items that need your attention (the sum across all tabs).

The 5 tabs

The "Discover" button

[screenshot: Discover button with tooltip "Auto-runs daily at 7:00 AM & 7:00 PM"]

Top right on every tab except People — people aren't "discovered" on their own; they surface automatically from the repos / boards / channels you've already accepted.

  • By default, automatic discoveries run every day at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

  • If you need to check right now (e.g. you just connected a new integration and want to see what it finds), click Discover __ → pick the integration from the dropdown → a manual run fires.

  • The button shows "Loading…" until the extractor finishes. It can take 1-5 minutes depending on the provider.

Column sorting

Click any header with the arrow to sort:

  • 1st click → ascending (or descending for dates/numbers — the default depends on the data type)

  • 2nd click → flips the direction

  • 3rd click → clears the sort and returns to the system default

The active column turns blue and the arrow changes to or .

Schedule

  • Daily auto-discovery: 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

  • Slack — channel discovery: included in the automatic cycle + manual trigger via the Discover button

  • Backfill when accepting a repo/board: the first extraction pulls 1 month / 3 months / 6 months / 1 year, depending on what you choose
